Parsec Media S.L. is the leading IT Media Company in Spain. Parsec Media's first publication, GEEKNETIC (formerly HispaZone), was opened in 2002, creating immediately a revolution in the Spanish IT Media market by becoming the first enthusiast focused online IT publication in Spain. GEEKNETIC is still the flagship of the company, serving millions of page views per month to highly targeted enthusiast readers and working daily together with over 50 leading IT manufacturers.
Parsec Media S.L. is in charge of several other projects like World Renders, an IT document translations agency, with professional in-house IT translators, and Rocky Bytes, a software review website that provides thousands of free program downloads to users from all around the world.
The headquarters office of Parsec Media S.L. is located in Barcelona, Spain. Barcelona is a strategic city for the IT business. The port of Barcelona is the biggest in Spain and one of the biggest in Europe having also an international airport that serves over 30 million passengers per year to hundreds of destinations from all over the world. Barcelona also holds every year The Mobile World Congress (MWC), the most important mobile, smartphone, tablet and handheld show in the world. Barcelona is also famous in the IT world for it's Sant Antoni district, a place in which we can find more computer shops per square meter than in any other district from any other city in Europe.
Nevertheless Parsec Media S.L. is also present in other cities. Parsec Media's lab is located in Madrid, where most of IT vendor's press conferences take place. Parsec Media also expects to start its international expansion by opening an office in the USA at the end of 2018, followed by an office in Taiwan in 2020.

2nd November 2002 – HispaZone.com is born
HispaZone.com starts as a new Spanish IT website providing daily news, guides, product reviews and program downloads.
It didn't take long for the Spanish IT enthusiasts to realize of this new website and start visiting it daily, as their main source of news and information about the IT industry.
January 2004 – Building relationships with the IT industry
HispaZone.com aims to build strong relationships with the main IT manufacturers. Since then HispaZone.com is closely in touch with the most important international manufacturers such as Intel, AMD, nVidia, ASUS, OCZ, Cooler Master, etc.
Working closely with manufacturers helps improve the quality of the publication towards a highly developed and sophisticated content written with the enthusiast reader in mind.
September 2004 – 2 million page impressions served to over 800.000 readers.
HispaZone.com never stopped growing since then.
1st September 2005 – HispaZone.com buys Soloprofesional.com
Its owner Javier Rodriguez becomes the new Editor in Chief at HispaZone.com. Javier Rodriguez, one of the most respected voices on the Spanish IT industry and with more than 20 years of experience as IT journalist and reviewer, leads the editor team since then.
January 2007 – HispaZone.com opens a new lab
A new IT product testing lab is opened in the city of Antequera, with new testing equipment valued in 25.000 euros.
19th October 2007 – First Netbook review worldwide
HispaZone.com becomes the first IT media in the world to review a netbook, long before its arrival to the market: The ASUS Eee PC 701. This HispaZone.com's exclusive review gets featured in most important international technology websites such as TheInquirer, engadget, etc. It's just a piece of HispaZone.com's commitment for providing the most relevant and up to date information to the readers.
1st December 2007 – New HispaZone.com headquarters office
The HispaZone.com management team moves to a new headquarters office in Tolosa, Guipuzcoa (Spain).
1st July 2010 – HispaZone.com moves to Barcelona
HispaZone.com's headquarters moves to the city of Terrassa, near Barcelona. It's a strategic move for a better publication and better customer relations.
Nobember 2010 –HispaZone.com's lab moves to Madrid
HispaZone.com's lab moves to Madrid together with the whole editor team. Madrid is not only more international and more important than the previous lab location in Antequera, it's also the place where all IT press conferences take place Spain.
10th January 2011 – The translation agency World Renders is born
World Renders begins providing IT translation services to several international manufacturers with a new professional translator team.
October 2012 – Rockybytes.com comes online
A new software website for US readers is created with hundreds of downloads available.
1st January 2013 – Parsec Media S.L.: New Limited Liability company.
The company changes its legal form and name to Parsec Media S.L.
The websites HispaZone.com, Rockybyes.com and World Renders are a part of Parsec Media S.L., keeping the same working team, the same hard work, the same philosophy, and the same owners behind it.
1st July 2013 – New Parsec Media HQ Offices
The Headquarters Office is moved to a new location at a brand new 75m2 office at one of the best office buildings in Sant Cugat del Valles, 10Km from Barcelona.
10th July 2014 – New Rocky Bytes Website in Spanish
A new edition of the Rocky Bytes website is created in spanish for users from Spain and latin american countries: Rocky Bytes in Spanish
24th April 2015 – HispaZone co-creates the European Hardware Association
HispaZone is chosen as the most important IT website in Spain to become a founding member of the European Hardware Assocition, together with ther other 7 most important IT website throughout Europe. This association is responsible for giving recognition to manufacturers on the computer hardware industry by giving awards on a yearly award event that takes place in Computex. HispaZone has exclusity for representing Spain within the association.
3rd November 2015 – Rocky Bytes launches its own software award event called Bytes That Rock!
30th December 2015 – HispaZone renews its website

2nd November 2016 – HispaZone changes its name into GEEKNETIC!
